Maureen Halahan became the
President & CEO of the Orange County Partnership in 2002, making her the
longest serving economic development specialist in the Mid-Hudson Region.
The Orange County Partnership is
a private not-for-profit office of economic development that serves as the
external marketing agency for business development in Orange County. Ms. Halahan directs a team of professionals
who work with commercial real estate brokers, developers, site selection firms
and regional and statewide economic development agencies to find the most
advantageous and cost-effective locations for corporate attractions and
expansions.
In the past five years, her team has
assisted with the attraction and/or expansion of 99 companies. These transactions have generated $902,446,000
in capital investment and created 3,146 new jobs.
Ms. Halahan serves on various
boards including:
- The
Governor’s Mid-Hudson Regional Council – which was awarded the highest
honor for economic strategies for the economic development of the
Mid-Hudson Region.
- Hudson Valley Economic Development Council
- Stewart Air Service Development Council
- Coalition for Transformation and Innovation
Ms. Halahan is a member of
CoreNet International, an international site-selection industry association and
the New York State Economic Development Council.
She was born and raised in Orange County
and has lived in the Hudson
Valley her entire life.
